Below
is the tryout schedule for U9-U14 players wanting
to be placed on a BAYS travel team
for the Fall 2010
season. Parents should check the age group their son or daughter will be in
next fall, not the age group they play in currently.
Players
need not attend tryouts if they will be in third or fourth grade and have
selected to play in the intramural program.
Tryouts
will be held from Monday, June 7 to Friday, June 11 at Haskell Field. Each
age group is scheduled for two nights of evaluations, and players are expected
to attend BOTH nights.
SYSA
has revised its tryout procedures. The
guidelines can be found in our FAQ
section. These tryouts are only one part of the process used to assign players to
teams of approximately the same skill level.
There
will be no regular practices held during the week of tryouts.
Players should come dressed in clothes fit for soccer practice,
including cleats and shin guards, and should bring plenty of water.
Parents of players who
will be in 7th and
8th grade in the fall should note that both groups will play in U14.
