Kyle Teixeira
Kyle is currently in his fifth year coaching with the Revolution Academy after serving as the youth development coordinator / team manger for both the U16 & U-18 Academy teams. Kyle has been instrumental in growing the Revolution Academy having run the Summer Academies for the past five years and has been heavily involved in the spring/fall training programs. This fall Kyle will be on the coaching staff for the brand new “Regional Development Schools” RDS, delivering sessions to players aged 8-14 all across the New England Region. This summer Kyle delivered the new “Team Academy” program to various teams in the region, taking players through functional sessions based on the Revolution Youth Development teams and their training sessions.
A native of Warren, RI Kyle was a High School All-American and was Rhode Island State-Player of the Year, and All-New England Lettered for four years in Soccer, Tennis, and Basketball. A graduate from the Rhode Island College, Kyle Closed out his college soccer career as a four-time first team all-conference member, three-time Conference Player-of-the-Year, and conference top scorer all four years. He Played in 80 games, scoring 82 goals and 27 assists and was Rhode Island Colleges all-time record holder (set back in 1973) for the most goals and points in a career, and second in career assists. Kyle also holds the all-time record for most goals scored in a season and he led RI College to its first ever ECAC Championship and was later named in the 75th anniversary team.
In 2006 Kyle was the recipient of the Vin Cullen Words Unlimited Small College Athlete of the year and was Honoured by the Speaker of the House and RI House of Representatives at an event designed to give public recognition to individuals who have had significant achievements in their academic and athletic pursuits. Kyle was a Member of the Western Mass Pioneers Men’s Professional Soccer Team based out of Ludlow, MA and was the USL rookie of the year finalist in 2007. Kyle most recently competed in the Indoor Professional League playing in Springfield, MA.
