New to SYSA?

Welcome Parents!

We have put together information about our club and our programs. As a new parent to SYSA, if you have questions about how our club runs, this page will try to address any general questions you may have. If you don't find the answer you are looking for here, review our pages or contact our Administrative Director, Sandy Moore, at admin@sudburysoccer.org.  She will more than happy to direct you to the right person to answer your question.

Club Organization

Sudbury Youth Soccer (SYSA) is run mainly by the parents of our players, although anyone can volunteer. We rely heavily on our parents to take on leadership roles including coaches, assistant coaches, managers, age group coordinators, as well as other roles within the club.  Parents may offer to volunteer when registering players by clicking on the volunteer button. Our volunteers work together to execute our club's mission of providing quality soccer to boys and girls in the town of Sudbury, and children who attend the Sudbury Public Schools.  To reach a member of our board click here

Programs

In the Fall and Spring seasons, SYSA programs comprise of; In Town (IT), BAYS (travel), and the Academy Squad.  We also offer our Academy Skills Program in the Fall, Spring and Winter seasons for U8 through U14 players. During the Winter, we also offer a Futsal League for players from U9-U14 at the FieldHouse.  More information about of programs can be found here.  Dates and times for our current season can be found here.

General information is listed below about practices and uniforms.

Practices

For our BAYS and IT programs, practices are usually conducted mid-week during the season. Our IT and U8 players practice once per week, and BAYS’ teams practice twice per week. One practice is a group practice set by our Technical Director and the second is set by individula coaches about two weeks prior to the season opening and take place at various fields throughout Sudbury.

Uniforms

SYSA supplies uniforms for all U6-U8 IT and U9/U10 IT players. BAYS and Academy Squad players are required to wear matching uniforms which include an Under Armour red jersey, navy shorts and navy socks. These may be purchased at Brines' Sporting Goods on RT20 in Sudbury.
